Inside Garage Paint Color?

I'm going to be painting in "inside" of my garage soon.

I'll be painting on new drywall and would like to know the best color to use?

I think white would be to bright and show dirt easy, so maybe a light gray?

Any suggestions would help in my decision.

Thanks, Chris.

I think your in the right pallet of colors.
For me the Brighter/lighter the better, nothing worst then trying to work in a dark/dim shop/garage.
I re-did my home garage in those exact colors after I was able to secure some light grey slat board from a shoe store going out of business.
The ceilings IMO should always be white with ample lighting. The white amplifies the light output.
Light grey or even white on the walls is a great choice just use a semi or eggshell for easy cleaning when needed.

If you have not already put up the drywall...STOP. Install bright white metal like what is on the outside of a pole barn. Fabral is the brand name sold by Carter Lumber here in Ohio. The garage will be bright & all you have to do is wipe it down. Cleaning is easy! At the very least consider it for the ceiling even if you have already installed drywall (just put it over the drywall) Excellent backing for your lighting! My building is 41 x 88, I did half in drywall & the other half in metal. I am so sorry I did the drywall. At least I did the whole ceiling with metal!

I painted everything I could get at in my basement white.
Makes the LED lights POP.

If you live in an area with mud daubers (wasps) I have heard that painting light blue will keep them from building nests.
