67 GTO 400 WT engine, complete or parts

I have a 67 GTO 400 'WT' 4 speed code engine complete with accessories. The engine is disassembled and in need of rebuild. Some parts are already cleaned up. All the smaller parts, mains, oil pump, rockers, pushrods, lifters, nuts/bolts, other hardware and misc small parts are in the plastic baggies. Block and crank are standard/uncut although block needs some work. I would like to sell this as a package since if someone wants the correct engine and accessories for their 67 GTO project, just about everything is here in one shot. But if you are interested in individual parts just let me know. If i get enough interest or if it doesn't sell complete in a reasonable amount of time i will part it out. At that time i will list prices for individual parts. Right now i'm looking for an even 1,000 for everything.

400ci 'WT' Block: Casting #9786133, Date code D247 Had it inspected at my local machine shop, has a repairable water jacket crack on the rear left side. Was quoted $200-$300 to fix. One cylinder will also need a sleeve do to a few pits. Quoted $180 to instal. A normal .030 over will clean up the rest. Have main caps also. Rare block worth fixing.

Heads: large valve 670's, both block-matching dates D247, good shape, cleaned but still need rebuilt. Have rockers.

Crank: Original 'N' nodular steel, Casting #9773524. Cleaned, needs a normal .010 cut.

Pistions/rods: Pistons will obviously need to be replaced. Rods are in good shape. Need standard reconditioning.

Intake: Casting #9786286, date code D197. Cleaned/primed. Nice shape.

Distributor: Correct part #1111250, Date code 7D20. Needs rebuild.

Alternator: Correct part #1100704, Date code 9C20. Needs rebuild.

Power steering: Correct part #9786901XH on pulley. Needs rebuild.

Power steering bracket: Correct part # 9786903. Cleaned, good shape.

A/C compressor lower mounting bracket: Part #9789228. Cleaned, good shape.

water pump: Correct part #PH-262, Date code ? Needs rebuild.

water pump pulley: Correct part #9786909XJ. Good shape.

Timing cover: Correct part #9783130. Cleaned, needs top mounting tab repaired, some corrosion behind water pump area smoothed out.

Also here are the manifolds, oil pan, valley cover and crank pulley. Have starter and carb too but not original to motor. The B.O.P. bellhousing and hurst shifter in the pics is not part of the engine package but are available separately. I'm sure i missed something, if you need any other part#'s or date codes i missed just ask. Located in Exeter, Rhode Island.

I'm not ready to break up the parts just yet, but if/when i do, I would take $100 for the intake. Shipping Fedex is cheapest to you at about $40. (intake weighs 40lbs.)

I am interested in the 1100704 alternator. do you still have it?

prostreetgoat67 07-12-2016 06:07 PM

yes, i still have everything although still selling as a package for the time being. I'm thinking if the heads sell first i'll start parting it out. Anyone interested in a good pair of 670 heads? say, $500..

prostreetgoat67 07-16-2016 01:39 AM

reduced to $800, need this gone. That's a steal with all the parts included..

Pontiac guys on this site are cheap....... I always give the site a chance, but Ebay always gets it sold for more than I offer here. Give E bay a try.:music:

i appreciate the advice Fastgoat, i've sold plenty on the 'bay and likewise, i'll try a given forum with true enthusiasts first for what i'm selling, but after a while what's left goes on E bay.
