Does anyone have a picture of a 1962 Grand Prix with AC and an alternator?

When I restored mine, my impatience got the best of me and I pieced together some OEM brackets to get it to work. It works great, but I want it to look more 'factory'. I have both the small and large aluminum brackets, but couldn't figure out how to fit them to my '69 motor.

Attached is a picture of my current setup.

Not sure if this will help or not, but this is the setup on my 62 Bonneville.

Yes it does help. Thanks. What alternator is that?

Alan's got it, Stuck.

That alternator could be either the internal or external regulator type and still fit. Both fit.

...by the way, where ya been, Stucky? Hope all is well with you!!

Everything is good, Matt. Thanks for asking! Life is a bit busier than usual, niece and nephew joined the Army, some OT at work, re-landscaped the entire front of the house. Glad to be able to slow down some, just in time for the holidays. :)

Here are a few pics I still have on file of a '62 Bonny we put back together a few years ago.

Here are a couple pics I found.

Thanks for all the pics. Now that I see how the bracket goes, I hope I can adapt it to my '69 engine.

Without too many headaches:confused2

My car didn't come with AC originally, so I ended up buying a complete AC setup, (including the muffler), on Ebay. I did buy a new compressor and dryer. The blower motor was 45+ years old, so I bought a new one, but it was a lot smaller than the stock unit. I cut the case apart and installed the new blower motor inside and tack welded it back together. It has a little more CFM than the old setup.

Thanks for the nice comments. Your GP looks beautiful.
