66 Bonneville Column Shift Indicator Cable

Hello friends, it's been a while. I need some information. I'm still helping work on a 66 Bonneville, and we've run into a problem. It seems, the little parts are always the hardest to find. The car is a none tilt, with the column shift. The indicator is way off, so after some effort, it turns out the indicator cable is stretched so much, it can't be adjusted to get even close. So, the reading is about 1.5 marks off of being correct. I tried the catalog vendors, with no luck. Does anyone know where I can get this part, or even know the correct name, so I can do a search? I even called a GM dealers parts department, and the guy trying to help, didn't even understand about the indicator being on the column. Thank you for any information anyone may have. Wishing you and your families, a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year. Mike

Typically what happens is the little spring and wire that attaches to the plastic parts gets rusty (hangs up) bent or comes loose. That or the plastic tab breaks off. There is no cable there just some linkage. You will have to slither under there to see which it is. It is an easy fix if the white plastic is not broken.
