Anybody run hydroboost?
 

If so how does it work? Do you like it? Does it clutter your engine bay with hoses? I'm running a 9 inch booster right now and my brake feel is not how I would like it to be.

More like a worn out 326 that isn't pulling enough vacuum. Plus down the road I plan on a 461 and don't want any vacuum headaches

The vacuum is a bit too low in my 461 and I have a manual Wilwood setup right now because of it. It's too bad Wilwood doesn't make a hydraboost kit.

Yes. It works great. I love it, and no. See below. I bought my setup from CPP, but I have a better guy to recommend. Tobin from KORE 3.

Which brand is that? I really like the close-to-factory look of it!

Same disappointment with my brakes after replacing all the lines, etc. I wanted to try to a hydroboost unit but was not keen on the effort. Instead I am using a CVR electric vacuum pump (VP555). It solved my problem. I can hear it sometimes, but mostly not. The engine, headers et al take care of that. But, the pump is not that noisy. From what I have read though, the hydroboost would be a stronger system.

Running a hydratech hydroboost system with 461, pic attached is on a newly built 461 not yet running. The hydroboost system solved my vacuum issue and now had solid brake feel and stopping power. Very happy with it.

I drove a 66 GTO once with a Wilwood manual 4 wheel disc set-up. I couldn't tell it was manual brakes. Stopped great and no cluttered engine bay. Going manual on my 69 GP.

That hydroboost is a '83 Chevy 2500 series truck unit. The hoses come from the same. Master cylinder is 78 Firebird disk brake unit. Prop valve mounted on frame in place of the combo block in 67.
