67 68 JC Code Rally II Wheel question

On another website it was indicated that the JC wheel used on 67 and 68 drum brake cars did not have date codes. True or not true?

the JA & JC coded rally II wheels went from large font letters (with no external dating) to small font externally date coded wheels in late May of '68. Original small font (externally dated) JC coded rally II's have been pulled off late build '68 Pontiac A body's.

Thanks -- I took the tire off and can see a number 7 under the plant marking (Ml). There is also a large number 1 between the plant code and a letter E. Would I be correct in assuming this referred to January 1967? There doesn't appear to be any other number indicating a specific day. Should there be one in the same area?
