A-pillar drip rail panel
 

I have a 68 hard top non vinyl top car.The A-pillar plate that holds the short piece of drip rail trim is held on by 2 screws, do the 2 screws go through the roof rail trim? Also what type of sealer should go between the plate and a-pillar? Next question , i have the roof rail trim install kit with foam strip and a roll of black tape. Black tape has 1 sticky side, does stickiy side go to trim then foam pad against that and then body?

Shouldn't be screws if I'm understanding what you mean. They are crimped in and then the small piece at the elbow is crimped over the a piller piece and the long rail.

I think he is talking about the weatherstrip retainer channel.

Yes they are held by screws (2) and no those screws don't go thru the weatherstrip channel.

Thanks, thought it mjight, any ideas about useing a sealer and the putting the sticky tape and foam strip on the back of the roof rail trim that holds the rubber weather strip.
