wow i'd like to know if someone used this, i don't see instructions posted, you'd still need panhard bar and coilovers. looks cool though

You'll need crossmember for attaching front. I've been watching trying to learn about triangulated rear 4link. The one was called Satchell link, after Terry Satchell. The 2 bottom bars are angled towards center line of car,angle 45 degrees,top bars are straight forward looking from top view. So cross member and bars need to be strong. Not sure how well this would work on street. I thought about ladder bar for simplistic application but they don't seem to handle well from what I've read.Still reading for my 63. I started a 4 link for it back in late 60s then it has been sitting.Other projects and work.

I have ladder bar setup on mine and drive it almost everyday, no problems with several thousand miles and my car is usually loaded with kids or adults, and i don't drive it very nice at all.

I used the triangulated 4 link setup on my 63 and have over 6500 miles on it and still love it. It's similar to the "A" car setup (64 & up) and doesn't require a panard bar since the triangulated set up negates any lateral movement. I think that I used the Art Morison kit. John

I converted mine last year using a triangulated 4 link. Love it! No problems and never looked back

That is the last thing I want to address. I am happy enough with my set up now I would just like to be able to adjust. Going to replace with with QA1 or Viking adjustable coil overs. Currently they are Morose adjustable drag shocks and QA1 14HT200 coils
This set up really grabs and goes I just put a 400 with a 200R4 into my car this winter. Very happy with this set up. Heath |
Any one, please post photos of your rear suspension. 4 link link, triangulated or ladder bars. Trying to decide which way to go.

I used a triangulated setup (like an A car) doesn't require panard bar and really handles well. I think either parallel or triangulated will both work out fine! John

Update on my 4 link project, got the crosmember for the bottom arms fabbed tonight.

I'm Looking at getting a 62 Tempest and am wondering would this kit also fit a 62 or are they different?

just remember like SD did you need to reinforce when welding to the unibody,the metal is thin and can rip out.Happened on my panhard bar.Tom
