Air Cleaner Elbow

3 Attachment(s)
I'm looking for one of these plastic 90 degree elbows (with the flat spot) for one of the air cleaner snorkels on my 1971 Trans Am. I need the clamp also. If you've got these, please let me know....

Thanks!

Chris, there is always one or two (or more) on eBay and are the later units (PN cast in). Search Trans Am elbow. The one that's shown is a later unit.

HFR,

Thanks for your input. I have one located, but I was not aware that there were early and late ones. Are you saying that the early ones do not have the part number molded into them? Should my 71 t/a have the early ones?

Correct, early ones do not have a part number cast into them. That started in 1975 or '76, maybe late '74.

I have one from a '69 GTO with clamp. Has NO part #, but also NO flat spot. Let me know if you can make that work for you.

Ron.

The mitered style of elbows with the "flat spot" were used on the factory 1 1/2" drop aircleaner bases in order to clear the valvecover. The more generic '68+ Pontiac factory aircleaners only had a 1/2" drop base & did not require an elbow with the "flat spot".

Chris, have a fairly good supply of the mitered style along with original dated Witek clamps.. Am not yet sure if have any extras of the early style. Am still moving loads of original parts onto shelving. If you're not in smokin hurry, should have all aircleaners, lids, & pieces in here by the end of July.

Roger,

I sent you an email on this but didn't hear back from you, did you get it?

Chris
