Door panels
Besides the headliner/sunvisors is there any reason why the average joe can't just by the door and quarter boards and install them. I have taken mine off as part of disassembly and I feel like I could save a little money by doing my own install as long as the door boards have the holes for window crank door handle and armrest. Do the panels like you order from Ames already have the holes in them?

It is pretty straight forward. I'm an amateur and do everything except the bow style headliner install in my cars.
Cutting the holes is the scariest part but it's really not that difficult. |
There is a little more to it. You have to keep the metal shoulder piece from your old door pannels. Then you have to connect the cardboard insert of your new door panels to this metal shoulder. I used rivets to connect mine. If you search in this forum you will find out a lot about it. This is where I found out how to do it and they came out fantastic

I have a 64 tempest custom as well and have been trying to buy door panels, wonder if you would mind sharing where you found them?
