Who restores the deluxe steering wheels? Anyone have a good experience?

Try contacting Quality Restorations. They're not cheap but their work is awesome.

I'll second the recommendation for Quality Restorations. Dennis restored/recast the wheel for my '68. Turned out great!

Todd,

What do you mean by Deluxe wheel? In 69 the base wheel was a plastic two spoke, the custom sport wheel was the plastic wood grain job with metal spokes and the deluxe was the rubber like three spoke. The 69 Deluxe wheel requires very different resto work for the rim as it isn't plastic.

OK, I thought you had a 69 wheel based on your avatar pic. The 68 deluxe wheel is hard plastic and recastable.

Anyone have any experience with restoring/recoating the 1971 era Pontiac Foam rally steering wheels? They were made of a dense foam-like materials with a black paint-like coating. Thanks.
