windshield washer nozzles

I was a little surprised when bead blasting the washer "pissers" that they are copper. I could see a hint of green & realize it was from the copper.

Were these installed bare like this? Would kind of a cool look if they were.
I have another set of these I can dig out to see if they have some evidence of paint on them.

Thoughts?

I remember mine as being painted black .... I could probably still dig them out, but pretty sure they were black with paint chipping off the mounts.

Pretty cool that they were copper. Yeah.... that's not going to happen these days :)

I'll bet your right. in the elements copper would get pretty nasty looking over a short amount of time. At least I feel better about bending them now :) anybody re-pop those little clips that hold them onto the hood? I will try to clean those little buggers up & re-use otherwise.

Thanks! I do have 4 clips, but they are pretty rusty. I'll see if I can get them cleaned up & coated with something to protect them. Not sure hope thin they are though. they might dissapear ofter bead blasting or evaporust treating.

I don't know if they are original, but the ones on my 69Firebird are an aluminum color. The ones shwon in the OPG catalog for the GTO are black.
