72 SJ
6k seems high or is that where these cars are now?

Seems a little high to me for the condition.

Does the 6k include the two baseballs and two golf balls used to prevent anything from getting into the exposed openings in the intake manifold?

I got to tell you you guys are rough.. got nothing better to do but just tear apart somebody's ad and make your own accusations. the guy is not flipping the car he's had it for years it's a classic car tag on the back of it I know the guy and the car he just doesn't have time for it anymore that's all nothing else the damn motor in the cars worth 3 grand so what what is so high about 6 grand for a numbers matching 72 SJ Grand Prix have you seen what these things have been bringing lately?
|
I agree that is a good price for a matching number 72 SJ. They are not out there anymore. The 70 SJ that sold at Mecum hammered for 40K. Also 70-72 Monte Carlos are bringing big money.
|
That's why I opened with 'or is that where these cars are right now' I also guessed at the flipper thing which is NOT a knock on the owner. People need to make a living. If it sells we will know if its priced right. That 70 at Mecum was BEAUTIFUL and done 100% and the only reason that guy could make money , if he did, was because he did all the labor himself. Or most anyway.
Prices coming up on our GPs is a great thing. I have zero interest in this car. My sole curiosity was if 6k was a good price for this car in the condition. If it is then that is good for us. |
I agree, some people have way too much time on their hands if all they have to do is tear apart adds. If you knew the 70 GP sold for 40k (44k with buyers fee), wouldn't you think the 72's are worth something too?
|
I don't really think I tore a car apart. I think I simply stated my opinion that I thought the car was a little high for the condition. I'm no expert by any means. I own a 72 GP. Unfortunately, they don't bring the money. Maybe that will change as they are nice drivers.

Seems like it could be a decent price depending on what that car looks like in person and how far from a driver it really is. Not a whole lot of GPs out there, especially 455 cars, but as much as I love them, theres probably not a ton of people out there looking for them either.
