1975 Lj bench seat 455

It looks good, I like the looks of the 73-77's without a vinyl roof. It should be perfect for road trips. Enjoy it they are great cruisers, 400 or 455?

goes nicely, will be changing to heated rear window out on 76 parts car. Fit in with 63 lemans 444 conv., 63 lemans 326 3 spd. conv., 75 ventura coupe 400 turbo 400, 86 GP 2+2, 86 GP le and 87 GP le., 66 cadillac Deville conv.,

For a "road trip" car I'd def ck the r/e ratio. Over the years I've pulled numerous 3.23 gearsets & S spring posi's out of LJ's & SJ'a of that era. My Dad's '76 & '77 SJ's did not have that much gear & each made a great higheay cruiser. do know 3.23's were avail both years, so he must have not ordered either car with a performance gear ratio.

For road trips? I drove a 76 for 2 years everyday back in the early 90s, with a set of new 225/70 radials, quite exhaust and a great Pioneer stereo system, I couldn't wait to get in the car and fade into my own world, but....... this was before I ever drove a car with fuel injection, cold air and over drive transmissions that ruined the victory of actually setting the choke on a quadrajet and the car warming up without stalling while in the house safe from freezing outside!
But now old cars are a small hobby that satisfies my going back to the better days ever now and then or so I thought!

Oddball car for sure. I've owned a bunch of '76 and '77's. Everyone was an SJ and I never had one with a 455 or even seen a '76 that appeared to be a stripper with a 455. Another oddball thing about this car is that it is an LJ without two-tone paint. My guess is that whoever ordered the car new optioned it to tow and take the family on trips. And for the record, all my SJ's got between 20 and 22.5 mpg unless I trompped on it.
