Had this forever. Don't know a thing about it other then it works, winds up, keeps accurate time and is COOL. Ideas???

I have not seen one of those in about 25 or 30 years, maybe a little longer. The last one was in Carlisle.

That's my guess. My father in law was the new car sales manager in Evansville back in the heyday. He had wall plaques, desk top dust collector stuff, they received for contests GM had. Tilt wheel promotions, Tinted glass promotions.

He gave a few to me when he retired, nobody else in the family cared about the stuff. I still have the Pontiac 8 track demo tapes.

Chev had a promotion once with a basketball give away if you took a test drive.

Oldsmobile did clocks with the ROCKET next to it. Think that was a 50's name for their engines or something.

That's a real cool dealer award. Are the base & clock housing made of marble?

Olds used the "Rocket" moniker for some of their engines clear up until 1980.

From the picture I would say it is onyx.
