Man, I haven't seen one of those in years. My wife had one before we met..silver with black and red stripe if I recall. We have a photo of it somewhere. Cool car.

Very cool, neat to see ,thanks for posting link.

I had a White one with Black bucket seats, 350 4bbl, and 3spd w/o console. I'd be all over this one if back issues didn't make it too painful to drive a manual transmission.

Boy that sound familiar. I had to sell a real nice 69 Vette convertible 350 horse 350 4 speed a few years back, also from back problems. It was getting difficult to lift my left foot to use the clutch, and sometimes resulted in very sloppy shifts.

Nice 'Vette. I pulled my back very badly one day while out hiking. Had to hike a mile back to the car with back spasms every few minutes...and I happened to be driving my 280zx 5spd. That was a long trip home.

I don't think it was but actually not sure on whether you could have ordered that hood on a gt. if not they sure should have offered it. they look really good.

Actually, the scooped hood was part of the 73-75 GT option. So says one of my dealer brochures.

The T36 NASA hood was optional on all Grand Am and LeMans 1973-75

1974: 2,499 had T36 hood

1975: 4,109 had T36 hood

Okay, just my luck that 74 would be different, and just be optional. It was a 75 brochure that said it came with the GT option.

I really like the gt cars. I actually have never looked into it, but could you have ordered a 400 or a 455 in one of them?

David Brown 04-07-2018 10:45 AM

The 1974 brochure does not show the GT, but other LeMans models show 350 4 bbl, 400 2 bbl and 4 bbl and 455 4bbl optional

UPC-WU2 04-07-2018 10:53 AM

The '74 brochure does show the GT.
