Wheel and Tire combo

Looking to buy a set of US Mag/ American wheel style wheels and tires for my 62 conv. Want to stay closed to stock as possible but leave room for front disk brakes later. Any suggestions?

I did to my 63....but it was in 1987:-) I was way too cool to go to senior prom with hubcaps on. Sorry this probably doesn't help, but I would think you could get anything with a 5x4.5 in 15x7" and get discs to work, unless you are going with some really large rotors. In which case you could go like 17x8 and just keep your outside diameter close to the same. And yes. I do still have those awesome outlaw II rims as well as the car. It was much more challenging for me to find a set of stock steel wheels and hubcaps for it in recent years.....

I used 15" American Torque Thrust Mags. Pay attention and get wheels with the the largest back spacing available! I have attached some pictures of a stock wheel and the large back spacing dims and the disk brake setup that I used. John
