Disc Brake Set Up
 

So, here's my set up. I'm doing a frame off budget chassis build on my 67 GTO convertible. So far I'm using CPP's front tubular "A" arms, coil over shock set with disc brake conversion and their rear tubular trailing arm/coil over kit. My old frame didn't have any brake lines on it and I ordered Inline Tubes set for the convertible. I don't have any distribution block, (frame mounted) and their set would need it. The guys at Inline Tube were very helpful and said they have a distribution block and that I needed a hold-off valve for it too. My first question is this. Has anyone used this hold-off valve when doing a disc conversion? I looked it up and it seems that it's mounted up on the master cylinder and would involve even more brake lines. Do I need it because of this having a distribution block and not a prop valve? What is the "easy" answer to converting over? I don't want to re-invent the wheel here and would like to be "plug and play" as much as possible. I havn't gotten a master cylinder/ booster yet as I will need an 8" or maybe 9" booster to clear my tall valve covers. A friend has offered to sell me his 8" master cyl/booster with an electric vacuum pump system off his El Camino that should fit my GTO. This may work well for me as I have a Comp Cam Extreme Energy and not sure if I'll have enough vacuum for the booster.
One more thing. Does the rear brake line pass over the top of the trans cross over on a boxed convertible frame or does it go under? Nothing to go by so not sure of line routing on my convertible.

I can’t help you with the line routing question but I can tell you that if you will buy the CPP master cylinder prop valve kit it all comes together in one neat little combination and you won’t need anything but the junction blocks. At least that was my experience

On my '64 Lemans Convert, the line is routed above the tranny cross member.
