2nd gen Firebird measurement needed
 

Hi all,
I am in need of a measurement- I need the distance from either:
A) The top of the assembled air cleaner lid to the mounting flange of the carburetor/intake manifold junction --OR--
B) The top of the assembled air cleaner lid to the center of one of the intake manifold to cylinder head mounting bolts-- Please indicate which bolt.

The reason for this is to compare a 4150-style throttle body vs. a 4150 elbow adapter and a 102mm throttle body.

Also, if you happen to know how much clearance you have above the air cleaner to the hood, that’d be great too!

Not much... i have a stock 76 (and a 69..believe the same height )intake, 76 carb and stock air cleaner assembly, but not in car or on engine. What can I measure for you?
I had an RPM intake on it and there was not enough room for an air filter that cleared hood well, and didn't mess with the carb funtion with it on.

What I'm trying to determine is if:
A) I go with a 90* elbow-to-4150 adapter and a barrel-style throttle body
-OR-
B) A 4150 throttle body and a traditional air cleaner.

This is on a Hurricane/Tomahawk EFI intake-- I believe it's a copy of a Holley Street Dominator- that I'm hoping is close to stock height for carb/TB mounting.
I'm trying to fit this under the hood of a 74 Formula, so space is at a major premium.

So, if you could place a straight edge on the top of the air cleaner, then measure from the top of A/C to the carb/manifold mounting flange; and also from the top of the A/C to the center of one of the intake manifold mounting bolt holes, then let me know which bolt hole you measured-- that would be a tremendous help!

There you go ....7 and 15 little lines.
-Both Intake’s are the same height ~70 and 76 egr , carbflange to a bolt hole
- ~3 1/4” for q jet
-1/4” gasket
- 2 1/8” air filter housing, air horn to top of lid peak, wing nut/ stud is recessed below top

LMK if you need anything else, I took a bunch of measurements and pics
