Dust Boot master cylinder/power brake booster
 

Does anyone know where I can find the rubber boot that goes between the master cylinder and the power brake booster? I looked in Ames catalog (they were closed can't call),Napa, and pep boys with no luck. I'm assuming I'm calling it the right name "dust boot".

Maybe this is really a seal? Any idea's where to get these other then buying a new power brake booster?

A pick of the part would be helpful - I'm not exactly sure what you're after. My booster doesn't have a boot that goes between the MC and booster. There's is a white plastic boot on the outside of the booster at the firewall though. Maybe try one of the brake speciality places like Classic Performance Products or Master Power?

Thanks for your response. I guess its really called a seal.All power brake cars of that year have them. I searched the internet and the only place that I could find one was a place in Canada that sells Corvette parts. They wanted $35 bucks for it. If you order a new power brake booster I think it comes with them. you can see mine is deteriorating from a leak.

Ah, gotcha. Seems to be hard to find on it's own. Looks like it's called the front shell assembly seal.

Thanks, yes the only 2 places I found them is docrebuild.com and east/coast corvette, both corvette places. dorebuild scared me off with all there ordering rules and emailing your 3 digit card code etc. East coast site only seemed to work only if you have a paypal account and I don't. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow and try to order. This is a crazy part to find ,but is a very simple part. I guess I should have just replaced the whole power brake booster, but that would have involved removing and sending it out because I would like to keep the original one. Just trying to get the car back on the road after sitting between 5- 7 years.

Agreed - that site seems sketchy. Seems like a common enough part to where you might be able to pull one in good condition from a junkyard.

Looks like I will have to get one from a junk yard or try to get a power brake booster rebuilder to sell me one. I called east coast corvette and they are discontinued. This has been a real pain for something so simple!!
