Drive shaft, which end first
 

I have a drive shaft for my 69 GTO that I believe is correct. one end next to the yoke is 2 3/4 dia. x 2 inches long. The other end next to the yoke is 2 3/4 dia. x 8 inches long. Which end goes next to the transmission? The 2 inch length or the 8 inch length? Slip Yoke not installed yet.
