Just have to paint and bolt them down now.

After seeing an ACR Viper with similar vents, I've been thinking how cool it would be to have vents in the bird's wings!

Did you make these?

Boostedbird 02-03-2019 07:20 PM

Yes. Made them from 1/8" aluminum sheet. Have to get some heat out from under there. It doesn't run hot, just heats everything else up. Last time at the track on a hot day it picked up 2mph from leaving the hood off the last 2 passes.

Very nice!!! Lots of hard work on those custom wings.

Nice outside of the box deal you have there !

I wouldn't paint them. Use a Scotch pad to give them a brushed look and mount them. I think on the black, they look cool.

That's awesome! You're gonna paint the rest of the bird back on, right?

OK, now, how much for a set?

;-)

If aluminum, have them anodized so they do not oxidize, corrode. McNichols Anodizing is an excellent source for such service and they can do them in many different colors. I have had them anodize multiple items for me in the past.
