1968-1974 Muncie 3 spd (2 parts)

3 Attachment(s)
Just last night I realized that my spare muncie three speed has one part that absolutley will not work for my car as-is, the other one can probably be fixed;
I figured I would make a post here (because more of these were installed in GM A-bodies than any other car platform) to see if someone has these to sell.

1) I am looking for a Muncie (330) "car" input bearing retainer.

I only had an imperial micrometer handy last night, and I measured the "truck" retainer at 1300mm, and the car one at 1188.5mm.
I could probably find a machine shop to turn down this truck retainer, but this will probably exceed the cost of replacing it.
I am open to trading this truck one for a car one.

You can clearly see the size difference when looking at the bolts' proximity to the edge of the casting.

2) I am looking for a Muncie (330) tail housing.

I have one, but I just realized it's a replacement part (1972 casting date on a 1970 transmission) which has had the speedometer gear retainer hole oversized - at an angle...
I may be able to drill and heli-coil it, but I figured I'd first see if a replacement could be sourced.

I am heading to Washington state next week, and was just informed that the shop I'm buying parts from has sold all their bearing retainers, and tail housings to "a customer who does dirt track racing".

The genesis behind this "wanted" post is that I have a "truck" transmission that I will be turning into a "car" transmission.

Thanks for taking the time to read this;
If you may even know someone who is sitting on one or both of these parts, please let me know.

nice...
the input shaft AND front bearing retainer show it to be another truck transmission;
if it were cheaper, and closer to where I am heading, I might consider it.

A summary of the route and destination that I am taking is:
entry point: Eastport, Idaho;
Then on to Spokane, then to Kennewick, and Finally Portland.

front bearing retainer located and purchased.
I found, and looked at three Muncie three speeds this past week;
All were "A" gear set units, all had the column shift tail housing without a shifter mount (and the speed cable connector on the opposite side);
One of the transmissions actually had a "car" front bearing retainer - which is where I got this one.
