help starter problem on my 75 t/a
i am more of a ford guy , but it seems my car wont start sometimes , it happen today so i pushed it and kick started IT (4 speed car). I DID REPLACE THE STARTER LAST YEAR . IS IT A BAD GROUND AND WERE DOES THE STARTER WIRE GO TO FROM THE STARTER

Look into getting a mini-starter. It will have more clearance from the headers, as well as more powerful.
LOTS of discussions on here, do a search and you'll find a lot of info. RobMC, IMI, CSR, several brands to choose from. Avoid the Jegs/Summit starters, they don't tend to be as reliable. SecondGenGraveyard on Facebook has some good prices on some. |

Had the same issue years ago, intermittent start problem on 76 manual TA .
Turns out the back drive rod was missing sometimes allowing the lever on the column to slip down and act as an inhibitor Solution - Cable tie it in the UP position and never have the issue again - Worthwhile checking :) |
