old paint formulas
Any way to convert old Delstar mix formulas over to never PPG acrylic enamels like in the Omni line? My paint guy who has been doing this for over 30 years says no way to convert them and I trust him, but I thought I would ask here.

Your painter needs to ask his PPG supplier to call the PPG lab in Ohio. They can and do convert formulas, and they have a database to pull past conversions from.

Ok thanks! As it turns out, the pontiac power chart that listed PPG 14580 as being correct for 71-early 73 engine color is wrong. It ends up being too dark and blue. So even if he could convert that formula, it's wrong. But good to know in the future if I run into an old Delstar formula and need to convert it, it may be possible!
