I know Chinese Knock-off stuff can be a controversial topic around here but for this price I'm gonna take my chances and try a set out.

I think you’ll love them especially at $1100! I bought a pair of bbc rectangular port Pro Comps bare, which I believe are the same, ported them, put good valves etc in them flowed them and dynoed the engine on Bischoff’s equipment and got 390cfm, and 730hp on pump gas. It was a 489, car weighed 3350 and it went low tens @ 129. Never had a head failure as long as I had it at least which was 2 years. Hope this helps you.

The OP's pic is for a single head. Check the black friday price I just pulled from the website! $1300 for the pair + a tomahawk copy intake. I used to run that PC tomahawk copy on my 400, and it was pretty awesome with a gasket match!

There have been reports of seats falling out of the BBC heads and poor machining work, how this may reflect at this point on there Pontiac heads remains to be seen when and if enough numbers of them get out there!

One things for sure that being on street motors of under 455 cid and running Cam's of less then 250 Intake duration@ .050" your better off running the Edelbrock or KRE D port heads with there smaller port area/ volume!

chrisp 11-28-2019 08:28 AM

Smoking deal even if you have to put a few bucks into them to have them checked out & tweaked.

"QUICK-SILVER" 11-28-2019 08:48 AM

Is this the same heads that Randy is selling?

Definitely worth checking out
Add in having your friendly local Machine Shops cost to fully check them out before install.
I had bought a set of Pro-Comps 59cc SBC heads with a 210cc runner volume that flowed 250+ out of box and they worked fine for $785.
I did have a shop fully check them out and they confirmed.

Hey Steve, do you have some inside info on these? Their specs list a 215 intake as does Edelbrock’s. Could you please expound on your comments?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Goatzilla on here is the distributor for them.

He put them on a dragster but I don't believe he got back out before the cold winter set in.

https://speedmaster79.com/Pontiac-38...er-Head?page=1 Without intake for the pair.

In the description of the head it says “sold in pairs”

The seat failure issue was what I feared the most. The seats were thinner than other heads. I actually saw one seat failure on a set of pro comp bbc heads at the machine shop that came off of a boat. I’m not sure if they addressed that issue but I Shifted at 7000 rpm’s and never had a problem. I used a stud girdle too.

Regular price on the OP's pic was for a pair of heads. $1114.74 wouldn't be a promo special when the pair was $1857.

The intake also has a promo deal. Get the heads and intake seperate and you can knock nearly 60 bucks off the 1300 deal. $1,240.74 bought seperately and you still get free shipping.

At least that's how it looks to me

Man, that's extremely tempting.

Anybody know anything about the intakes? They show two single planes but the description of either one says it fits under a T/A scoop. One is $126 the other is $187.

GoatZillaRacing 11-28-2019 12:39 PM

It's a great deal and a great example of the free enterprise system. I just bought $12000 worth of their heads to get close to that price with free shipping.

Now when I should be running a BLACK FRIDAY Sale of my own, my customers can buy direct from them at less than dealer cost and get free shipping - go figure!

I WILL MATCH THEIR DEAL TO GAIN YOU AS A CUSTOMER!

I don't have the free intake deal but I have another pallet of complete heads heading my way from Speedmaster. 7 sets of which are available.

Complete, delivered to your door in the US 48 for way less than dealer cost at $1114.74. I can't do credit cards or PayPal at this price, CHECKS or MONEY ORDERS ONLY.

Orders must be received or an email sent with a copy of your check or money order by midnight Monday Dec 2nd. ONLY 7 SETS AT THIS PRICE because I can't replace these at that price.

It's GO TIME!

Speedmaster and I will be having a conversation!

I wish I could match their deal for my customers, but I can't and I don't blame you for taking advantage of their short term marketing foolishness.

What are your thoughts on the fears of losing a valve seat?
