72 TA Assembly
 

Howdy,
As my 72 HO TA was disassembled by others about 32 years ago, I’m having problems identifying the mechanical fasteners that are called out per the 72 Firebird / TA assemble manual. The manual will call out the part # of the fastener but I have no way to cross reference it. I believe there is a GM source available to identify these fasteners as well as to their finish (paint or type of plating). Numerous part # have been superseded over the years as this makes it even more difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What fasteners are you specifically talking about? If you post up pics, most people here can probably tell you where they go.

There is a Restoration "sticky" thread at the top of this section. There are a few threads with loads of pics on the 72's. Scroll to the last page of that thread for the latest updates.
