FM STEREO Red Dot 72 -76 77 Firebird, Trans Am DELCO
 

Model 62FFM1 Pontiac Firebird, Trans Am, Formula and Esprit Red Dot AM/FM stereo radio with fader. This fits 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977 Pontiac Firebird models. This is an original F body radio. I have owned it since the late seventies and used it in my 71 Lemans. It is not correct for a Lemans, so I am replacing it with a correct unit. I had it repaired by Ward’s of Huntsville AL about 8 years ago. It is in good condition. I can send a video of it playing.

The buttons and faceplate are in very good condition. All functions work; tuner and wand, volume control, and manual push buttons.

This will fit all 1970.5 - 1977 Firebird models, but is correct for 76 - '77 because of the style 'Delco' logo on the dial - it is boxed-in on the left side, prior years had the logo in script on the right side.

I believe that Ward’s replaced the electrolytic capacitors, and flushed out & lubricated the controls. Beyond that I do not remember. I have one original volume knob and one original tone knob to include. They are in good condition. It must be connected to 8 to 10 ohm speakers when operated; use of lower ohmage, modern speakers will damage it. $595.
