Dealer code wanted.

I have searched the Ultimate GTO site and Wallace site with no luck. Does anyone have the dealer name for Zone 9 (Cincinnati) Dealer 509? Thanks in advance.

I think I found it on a Buick list. Massey Buick Pontiac Inc. Franklin, KY

Buick dealer codes are different than Pontiacs!

The dealer name possibly started with a "P" if they were the original dealer for the number?

Ok maybe I am incorrect then. So it is possible for a dealer that sold more than Pontiac’s to have multiple dealer codes? One for Pontiac, one for Chevrolet, etc. Interesting. Still looking for the Pontiac dealer code. Thanks for the clarification.

There is debate about the Buick list that lists some multi-make dealers.
I tend to go with it usually on those.
But its an open ended deal sometimes and hit/miss.

You can contact Mike Noun (PY Member) who has deeper resources than anyone else on dealer codes. He makes very exact repro window stickers (sells them).
Naturally, you would need to be a customer (buy one) before he would release the dealer information. But he would more than likely confirm he has that dealer data beforehand of requiring payment. Since that is your main concern.
Many use his service just for the dealer info when no other free source has the data.

If you bought a PHS info packet - you can reconnect with them and ask about the dealer. Sometimes they can help, sometimes not.

Good Luck with it :)

Thank you Baron, I may reach out to him if all other research fails.

Found out today that 509 = Patterson Cadillac Pontiac in Hopkinsville, KY. Johnta1 is correct, it began with a “P”.

Congrats!

BTW, what car is this for?

:)

John is REAL Good with those dealer codes and trying to fill in the blanks.
Wallace website is his website , for the knowing.

Congrats on finding the Dealer Info

Along the top line of your Billing History Card - about in the middle -
there are boxes for "TO" & "FROM" State Codes
if the "TO" box on yours has 16 listed , that is Kentucky.
And would say you nailed it :)

To 16 from 21 is what it says. This is a bit of a long story, but I will do my best to tell it. There is a small private junkyard near me that I have been going to with my dad for about 30 years. There are no vehicles newer than about 1982. There is this shell of a 67 GTO that has been there for a very long time. It is and has been picked clean with little to nothing left. Frame is rusted through, no clip, rear axle, doors, interior, nothing but front suspension and optional hood lamp is all that remains. The trim tag is even removed for some reason. The VIN remains and made me wonder how this car was optioned and where it came from. So, curiosity got the best of me this last weekend. Running the VIN indicated that the car was originally a 400 HO/4spd, Candlelight cream, black top, parchment interior, 3.55 safe-t-track, full gauges with hood tach, custom wheel discs and a bunch of other options. After finding out the dealer info today, my retired father called a Chevrolet dealer in Hopkinsville, KY and inquired about the Pontiac dealer. The woman he talked to said that they closed 30 years ago. He told her we were wondering how this GTO ended up 300 miles away. She stated that there is a military base 20 minutes away. So we think possibly a vet bought it and brought it back home. The car has 1974 plates on it, so that was the last time it was on the road. We are going to ask the owners if they know anything about the car. Their father started the yard and they continue to run it today.
