Blower manifold
 

I have a BDS manifold and would like something a little taller with room for port work (Edlebrocks) and EFI port nozzles. I’ve seen the modified tunnel rams and just don’t want the blower that high.
Does anyone make an in between?

As far as I know, the BDS is the only ready-made Pontiac blower manifold---anything else is custom and I've only seen them done with Gutsram intakes. As far as custom goes, the sky's the limit, I guess. I looked around a lot when I converted to supercharged and that's all I found.

Hampton at one time had the only Pontiac manifold that would allow an 8-71 to be run and clear the distributor. Give them a shout.

I have never seen any other off the shelf blower Manifolds then posted here.

That being said for a time I was looking into making a better and taller blower Intake then the modified Offenouser that came with my Dyers blower set up and I found that the best starting point was the Weiand tunnel ram for a 440 Mopar.

It's port size stock is RA4 size and has good room to grow.

You can put allot of fuel through a hat. What rotor design are you going to run?

It’s a 540R Whipple with an EFI bird catcher. The reason for port nozzles is just for room to grow.

The one RBS sells is the standard fare BDS intake. Short is good because anytime you can lessen the distance from the crank AND keep the pulley as close to the block as possible (laterally speaking), the less stress induced on the crank snout.

If distributor/magneto clearance is an issue, Mike Dunn in Texas can make you an offset drive for a Pontiac (had him make me one years ago, to clear a 14-71 on this very intake). My intake is also drilled/tapped for port nozzles.

I set up my vintage Thompson blower intake to run port nozzles and was happy with the tuning advantages of doing so. Later, I moved my port nozzles to my heads on the intake ports and that worked even better. So, you can run your port nozzles in your head- top of your intake ports as I have. That may help you.
