Center carb choke coil pt. number
 

Does anyone know the Delco part number for the 65 center carb choke coil? Carb number is: 7025175. I've looked in the 65 service manual and the 64-72 GTO restoration guide and found nothing, however, the restoration guide lists group 3.75 but no part number for the coil. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

The coil has no ID. If you're speaking about the assy. with Bakelite cover, those are getting expensive and rare because no one makes repros. I do know that there are dozens of different versions of those Rochester coils. I have several '65 carbs with choke coils intact, but no way to determine if they are original. Good luck.

There are always many of them on eBay. Cheapest I've seen is $19.95 plus shipping. If the "rich" arrow points left, the cover will work fine on any Tripower that uses the choke dial. I've used many different variations on center carbs with no bad results. Just test the coil to be sure it backs off the choke tab when heated. Some Quadrajet ones are reversed, but can be used if you pull off the thermostatic coil and install it the opposite way. The "rich" and "lean" arrows will be wrong, but the function is fine.
