Rear antenna cable and wire routing
 

Do the cable and power leads follow the same path as the rear speaker wire?

They must run up the firewall behind the firewall pad like the speaker wire too.

I'm assuming the routing would follow the speaker wire since the floorplan has a path.

Almost all the accessories such as Rear Speaker, Reverb, Defogger, Etc had the leads run along the PS footwell.
Not along with the Ribbon Harness and/or on the base of the floor.
These will go around and along the rear seat base to the Factory shield that protects the leads from being pinched under the seat frame.

I ran my Trunk Release Hose in this route but chose to move the power leads for my Rear Speaker and Defogger to the Trans tunnel side,
but should have stayed to the outside per factory layout for easier repair/access if needed.

Thanks! I wish the pictures in my assembly manual were that clear. When I originally disassembled the car (which had never been apart) the rear spear wire ran along the passenger side floor following the indents in the floor, which I always assumed was for this purpose. It was covered with a tan fiber insulation that was sticky, somewhat similar to the tar paper insulation

Can I add another question?
Once the antenna/speaker wiring meet the kick panel; does it go under then up behind it?
And does the factory plastic strap screw attach under the dash?

If you look at this sheet you'll see two wire routing layouts.
Factory and Field.

To answer your question yes the wires are run up behind the kick.
As you see they used tape to hold everything in place, No clips.

I use black Gaffers tape, it is some of the best tape out there for this type of thing.

I like the field route that keeps the wires forward above the glove box,
it makes life easy.
