Can someone tell me if i'm in the ballpark with my price of the MPC 66 GTO slot car?
 

I actually have two MPC 1966 GTO slot cars. I placed the car I felt was the most original looking and it came with the insert paper/pamphlet and original decals from 1966/1967.

I currently placed it on eBay for $480 and I want to know if this price sounds like i'm in the ballpark of what it should go for. There are two other MPC slot cars on there. One for $500, the other for $600.

I honestly think mine is in the best condition and hasn't been modernized in any type of way. It's completely vintage and I have tested it with a 9V and the motor is working.. It has been molded in gold, not painted. The decals on it look great and aren't cracked and don't have any pieces of them partially missing like I do on my other MPC slot car.

I'll post some pictures for you and I would appreciate your feedback on what you believe my selling price should be or if my price I posted it at is reasonable. Thank you!

I'm not sure what to recommend. I do still have mine. I bought it at the car show back then. I remember sitting in the GTO bucket seat shifting the stick to get my car down the slot car drag strip. I didnt win,but had fun.Those were the days

Like Sdbob, I bought mine in 1966 from the Pontiac dealership, and it has been used a lot.

In my collection, I have one still unbuilt in the box.

I’m not watching the market but I would expect to pay $500 for something that cool and rare- especially in that condition. In fact- you may be low. Are the other two cars for sale as desirable as this one?

No, I honestly feel I have the best and most purely original model that looks like it came straight from the 60s with authentic decals. My other model has some paint done in silver along the borders, but this one I have up for sale is exactly what you would see for sale in 1966/1967.
