Best bushed solid roller lifter ?
 

I was wondering your experiences with bushed roller lifters. I know they are not for very high spring pressures and I will not be running them in this engine.
I would imagine Jessel makes the best, if they even make a bushed lifter. But they are very expensive and not needed here.
So is it Isky Red Zone ? Crower ? Other brand ?
Who makes the best one for the money ?
No offset, std bore.

"Just a note on the EZ roll bushing lifter and longevity; the bronze bushing lifter is not really made for "street" longevity. They are very sensitive to oil contamination and they will wear. They were really designed to withstand extreme rpm and extreme spring pressure in an endurance app, but they are a maintenance item, not a drop in and forget item. You'd honestly be better off with a needle bearing lifter."

Note- I'm not here to specifically recommend a Isky product. It just so happens the comments involved Isky. Personally I used Crower bushed solid roller lifters at one time.
Currently street only, now back to Crower solid roller lifters with needle bearings.

BAM with DLC coating is the best bang for the buck.

Paul - Do they provide a .903 lifter with the Pontiac tie bar? I assume yes, just asking since their website is limited. Do you know what those would cost?

Yes they do, I want to say somewhere around $950 with the DLC coated bushing

Were running the .904 Crower Solid Roller bushed lifters with HIPPO. So far so good. they are pricey.

If you run a bushed lifter wheel you better make darn sure you have plenty of oil going to them

We had very good luck with Crower bushed lifters in .903 and .937 configuration. Very high spring pressures, 450-480 lbs. closed, just over 1000 lbs open. No failures of roller, bushing, or body.

A lot of the Dragweek guys are now running the Bam lifters.

I use the BAM DLC's . There a real good lifter. They measure dead on ..

I know a vendor that gives really good prices on them .. I found him on Yellow bullet .. BAM doesn't sell to the public .

Several people I know run them with no problems. I just bought a set of .937
for my new build

When I spoke to Brad, he did not have the .904 lifter, perhaps not in an offset. I went with the BB Mopar lifter with a .210 offset.

To the OP, highly suggest a bushed lifter! Yes, Jesel does make one too.

My usual wait time has been about three weeks from BAM.

How did the Mopar lifters work for you?

I ran both Isky and crower bushed no issues

I run .904 morel bushed, I also have wideport heads so I have an offset as well. Work great for me, no issues and I put a few street miles on in a year!

I bought a set of BAM bushed lifters from Kelvin Poe a few years ago now. He ran them for 1 dragweek season from memory and I put them into my street car. No restrictors in the lifter bores or restricted pushrods. Haven't checked the valves in a few years now but everything is still quiet as a mouse so no reason to assume anything has moved. 260lbs on the seat. 580lbs open. After my surgery I might bust off the valve covers and throw some feeler gauges on the valve stems, but it's not a priority to be honest with the way it's running.

I have run Isky and Crower 842 bushed lifters in all our drag engine combinations with no failures.
