Bill Rink (multiple NHRA winner and Record holder in his 74 GTO) Passes Away
Bill Rink, a one of a kind, Pontiac racer has passed away. For anyone who has ever met him , he always left a genuine impression. A no BS, tell it like it is guy, tenacious racer and winner with Pontiac power. His 74 GTO was a class dominant car in NHRA Stock class and a top performer in NHRA Super Stock as well. A beautiful car, he worked very hard at making it the best in class at every event. He was a Vietnam era Army Ranger and a straight shooter. Funny, helpful and loyal. He had a decades, long, multiple class winning relationship with Parsons Racing Engines in Dayton, where I first met him. He was also a big Arnie Beswick supporter, providing help for Arnie earlier in his career. He will be missed as a "Pontiac warrior", and a good friend. RIP.
