Bulb socket for fuel/volt gauge
I am I need of a replacement socket for the bulb on the fuel/volt gauge on a 72 Trans Am.
Any idea where I can find this wiring socket? |
You wouldn't happen to have a pic? I just grabbed a bunch of harnesses from late60's to early 70's out of a shed for this reason.

I should have grabbed a pic, but I didn’t. The bulb slides into a metal socket and the socket goes thru a hole on the back of the gauge housing and clips in place.

I am 99% sure that particular bulb is a #1895. And places like Dorman and American Autowire do sell individual pig-tailed sockets for the 1895. I ‘think’ the one you need has the spring tabs to hold it in place in the fuel /volt gauge housing. There is also a socket with the twist loc tabs like standard side marker lamps.

Thanks TA-71 for posting the question. I had converted my dash lights to LED and the other cluster just didn't look right. Mine broke when I removed it from the cluster. Little metal ring popped off and went god knows where! And thanks PDC for the links, ordered a socket and LED light today.
