PHS code
 

Looking at a 1969 gto and it has a odd code on the PHS does anyone know what it's for it says SOLID SPECL. Code SPS a 115.00 charge.

I think that is solid paint- special color.

what is on your trim tag where paint codes are supposed to be?

I'm guessing 2 tone paint (body and roof). Trim tag should say

Call Jim.

If it were two-tone, it would have that in option list. I have a two-tone 69 gto and that's what is listed on phs.

It’s an extra cost paint,

Mine has extra cost paint and it just says “paint special. “ not solid. And mine is all one color top and bottom, But mine is an extra cost offered paint. Maybe a color brought in from a different line (Buick, Cadillac etc) was coded differently.

Solid meant not two tone. However the titles of some options changed mid year in 69 which may explain the difference.

What color's the car?
