I don't have direct experience with that cam which I believe is a Crower offering. I've had the comp 280h, which has .020 additional lift and is advertised at 230 degrees @.050 on both the intake and exhaust lobe. In a 455 the cam made lots of low end with some good mid-range grunt, but was done by about 4800 rpm.

With 400 cid and what compression, trans and rear gears ?

I had what I would call a step down cam from this in a stock driven daily TA with 8.2 comp , performer intake TB350 and 3.23 gears .
The cam was a Isky 270 mega with 221 221 /470” on a 110.
It sounded great was a thrill on the highway above 30 mph, especially after I opened the scoop, but could have used more gear or Al least 9.2 comp.

If your cam will be in a similar 400 with less 3.23 gears then I would do so only with Rhoads lifters to buy back some bottom end.

is this cam less rowdy than a 041? compression will be 10.24 edelbrock d ports. not ported. 3.08 gear with a 6 speed 3.01 first gear factory intake. 750 cfm carb. 1 3/4 headers. car weighs 3800 pounds. power brakes ,power steering.

Well with those gears and a 6 speed I would put that Cam in straight up (as it has far less to overlap then the 041 Cam ) no Rhoads lifters.

Then since you have heads that flow close to 270 out of the box I would run 1.65 rockers with the correct length push Rods to take advantage of then running .506" lift.
