Glove box door arm-68
 

My door seems to sit too low I guess because the arm is grinding metal every time the door opens and closes. I can bend the arm but I’m wondering if I’m just missing something before doing that.

Anyone else have this issue? Could I be missing a spacer?

I'm not sure what you mean by sitting too low but...Mine is centered in that opening so I think bending it would be my suggestion as long as the door itself is centered when it's closed. There is an L shape at the extreme end of that arm so you only want to bend it enough to clear the side, not so much that the L shape comes out of the hole.
Or are you meaning that it's grinding the BOTTOM of the rectangular opening? Yeah, that must be what you mean. Mine clears that just by 1/16 of an inch or so.

I meant the bottom is grinding.

I meant it is grinding at the bottom when open.

Understand. Mine clears but just barely.. I think I would loosen the hinge bolts and see if I can get a little play out of it there first, try the bending only if that doesn't work.

Bend to center within dash slot, and be sure to have the rubber hose on the arm's end.

If you bend to center it WILL gain some clearance on the bottom. Think about it ... the farther over the arm leans, the closer to the bottom it gets.

You can also just crank the arm up a bit too, harder bend in that direction of course, but it will tweak ... you probably just need a hair.
