Another tire fitment question
 

Ready to fill up the wheel wheels a bit more on my '64 Lemans and would like to fit 17 x 8 with 4.5" BS and 245/45R17 front, 8.3" tread width, 25.7" dia
18 x 9.5 with 5.5" BS and 285/40R18 rear 9.8" tread width, 27" dia
Can I do a 5.75" BS without rubbing?

From what I've researched, the front doesn't seem to be a problem but the rear may require rolling or trimming the fender lips.

Looking at the modernized American Racing Torque Thrust wheels.

Has anyone tried this fitment?

Damn, this should have gone in the Suspension section. Sorry guys.

I’m not sure that 9.5” wide wheel in the rear will fit. I was barely able to fit 18x9s with 275/40s.

Might also need more than 5.75” backspace as well. Check out my thread in the non-Pontiac motors in Pontiacs forum for the specifics.
