Another sail panel question 68 and
 

Mine are original but it’s been a long time since they were removed. I don’t know what clips were used. I tried using the same type fastener that I used to attach the door panels but I keep breaking the fasteners when I go to pop them in place.

Is a grommet supposed to be used in the hole for the sail panel or am I just screwing up?

On another note, my quarter window cranks aren’t smooth. What type of grease would I use and what moving points should I apply it? I’m not even sure that’s my issue but when it’s more than halfway down it’s tough to roll up.

Does anyone use a grommet in the sail panel hole to attach clip or just install without?

My sail panel area has a jute padding that doesn’t make it easy to attach . Is that normal or could it have been added?
