Stupid Question on Wheel flare welting
 

Hey guys, I hate to even ask this but in regards to connecting the welting strip to the wheel flare. On the welting strip there is two sides, one side larger than the other and the welt connects to flare with one thin and one thicker side. Is the thinner side between f the wheel flare and the car? In other words is the thinner side the side you see when the wheel flare is installed on the car? I think thats how it works but didn't want to have that kind of mistake for the world to see.
