Brake Booster stamping (Delco Moraine)
 

Just curious since I don't think I've ever seen one stamped on this side (and I know it doesn't matter at all) but when I was first cleaning up my original brake booster (alot of surface rust) I didn't see the stamping so I though maybe it was an aftermarket replacement but, after I media blasted it I found it upside down on the left side under the vacuum port..... is this fairly common?

Yes, that’s common, upside down and all. Here’s mine after being replated by brakeboosters.com. Some people will say there’s too much gold in this replate but most look like this including the repops, they did a nice job, and were local to me.

cool thanks Will I realize it makes zero difference but the oddball stuff like that fascinates me since it's just a little more proof that these cars we love were built by humans who have good days bad days just like we do, some truly cared and some were just there for a paycheck, and none of these cars were ever perfect (at least not until some of the restorations that have been done made them closer to perfect than the factory could have ever made them)

Yes very common there is also a small tab at the top witch should have a Julian number on the front and part number on the back

Some repops don't show the stamped delco morraine. If you ask for one specifically with the stamping, this PY ames ought provide.
