fan shroud gap
I have a 65 GTO with a 455 with AC and automatic. I installed a cold case radiator and now have a 1" gap between the top of the shroud and the radiator? I'm sure this is decreasing airflow through the shroud. Is there something I'm missing? An adjustment?

i noticed that the Harrison radiator is thicker than the cold case if that means anything

You have non oem parts mismatch. Easily fixed with a strip of heavy rubber mudflap material or a strip of metal. You want the gap sealed for the shroud to work.

It just looks kinda bad that way. Where does the fault lay, the radiator of fan shroud?

Any pics of the mudflat or metal mod? |
Ames has the AC seal kits - https://secure.amesperf.com/qilan/De...A&web_access=Y

Gap.
I experienced the same thing. The replacement was not as thick as my original Harrison. It also had a gap as it sits on the core support.
It cooled better than the original because it more efficiently dissipates heat and does not have to be as thick to accomplish it. |

Not sure if you can see it very well. Just a heavy bit of rubber filling the gap. Foam insulation for outside pipes works, too. |
