'79 10th Theme in '78 S/E
 

Put some red LED's in the dash. The A/c control panel light isn't quite right and the gear shift indicator light is on and off. both will be addressed, but overall I'm happy.

Do they still have blue inners? How visible are the needles? The original type still needed the white lighting to pick out the details and colours.

Nothing changed except the connectors & bulbs. The needles just as visible as before the change.

Very cool at night. Everything is very visible. I'll see if I can get more up close pictures next weekend.

Did the change on my other '78 S/E & '73.

Could be a 80/81 pace car theme too... I was expecting to see a 78 painted silver/charcoal with the big hood bird wings extending onto the fenders. ;)

Ive seen the red LEDs look good but have also seen guys that just painted the insides of the gauge housings bright red/orange like the factory did to get the red lit gauge look. both looked good.

I've always wished someone out there would produce the TATA oversized hood bird in all of the factory color options. Lucky for me, my '79 is black with the silver graphics, so I can get away with putting an actual TATA bird on my black car, but deep down I have more of a taste for the red/orange graphics on a black car.
