80 TA Pace Car was the fuel tank b lack from the factory new ??
 

Hi was the fuel tank painted black as it left the factory day one ?

if covered in underbody deadener perhaps

The original straps are there covered in undercoating

The tank is a new Specter from Canada galvanized

Did not know if the tank was sprayed at plant

Bare tank, straps were treated and ranged from light grey to dark grey.

I would doubt the factory did any kind of undercoating, I have always been of the opinion that dealers would have installed that stuff. EVERYTHING underneath would have been covered.
