Wonder what ever happened to those display cars?

What a cool cut-away!! I have never seen that picture. At my college, we often get cut-away components from the vehicle manufacturers. Engines, transmissions, brake components, like ABS, hybrid drive systems. No complete cars. The ones commissioned by the OE's for National Car shows and exhibitions are amazingly detailed and well finished. They seem to use some type of very durable enamel based bright, shiny paint on the components. Years later, they still look good. Kind of like the white air cleaner on that Grand Prix engine. I am sorry to say, at least at the component level, once we are done using them in class or on display, they end up going out as scrap metal to the iron and metal yard.

Wouldn’t that be great for roll cage installation!😁

Love that option - makes it so much easier to turn it over and shake out all the fritos that wind up on the floor . . . :D
