What can you tell me about this gauge cluster

I purchased this many years ago. It was sold as a 1972 GTO part.

For those that know, does that seem right by the appearance?

Sorry. I guess that would help.

Appears to be 70 or 71 with the 140 mph speedometer. Dates were often ink stamped on the back of the clock and printed circuit board

Yes, appears to be a '70-early '72 style rally cluster.

The A-body 140 mph speedo continued to be used up into late Dec of '71 on what we refer to as "early '72 models".

The "Fasten Seatbelt" 120 mph "72" speedos began appearing in very late Dec body builds due to the seatbelt warning Federal mandate. As a result, late '72's have their own dash harness. As well as well as different mfg style seatbelts due to front seat retractor pigtails. GM chose to reconfigure many of their car lines seatbelts at this time.
