Grounded vs. Non-Grounded LED Flasher Relay
In swapping over to LED exterior lights, I ran across certain LED flashers that have the ground wire that needs to be grounded in order to function and others that do not have a ground wire. I am wondering what the difference is - why some LED Flashers need to be grounded while others do not?
Grounded: https://upauto.com/led-flasher-12v-2-terminal-90650 No Ground: https://www.ceclighting.com/products...rtNum=EF32SS-R Thank You! |
Mine was like the second one - ground is better than no ground
I couldn't get the old flasher out of the fuse box - maybe it's rusted in there I was able to change the signal flasher and so far so good... |
A flasher with a separate ground connection should flash at the same rate no matter what the electrical load as long as the load is within the operational limits of the flasher.
