New Rear Springs & Gears for '62 Cat
3 Attachment(s)
Finally got around to cleaning up the rear suspension & changing the gears from 2.69 to 3.42 posi. Replaced the control arm bushings & boxed the lowers to accommodate the sway bar. PO had 1”spacers on the coil spring pads so fitted new parts from Eaton, MC 1505+1. These are 1" longer than stock & the photo shows the new stance.

What sway bar do you have? Doesn't look factory. Bolt in? And did it require boxing the arms with the mounting bolts?
|
Looks simply awesome. Pretty big bar though, not sure you can swing enough rubber to really utilize the bar?

Way to go on the changes. The lower ratio should be fun for you.
The car itself is really striking! What a beautiful car! |

Thank you. I wondered if you had put pipe sleeves in the arms to take up bolt compression. Good solution.
